Job Description: We seek a talented Petroleum Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. As a petroleum engineer, you’ll be involved in nearly all stages of oil and gas field evaluation, development and production. Your aim will be to drill for hydrocarbons in the most efficient way, and to resolve any operating issues. You may also be responsible for using new drilling tools and techniques and getting the most out of underperforming or older wells. Throughout the entire extraction process, one of your key aims will be reducing the effect of drilling on the environment. Key Responsibilities: Conducting reservoir analysis to evaluate reservoir performance and estimate reserves.Designing and implementing efficient production strategies to maximise hydrocarbon recovery.Monitoring and analysing well performance, including production rates and reservoir pressures.Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop field development plans and reservoir management strategies.Performing reservoir simulation studies to forecast reservoir behaviour and optimise production.Identifying opportunities for well interventions and workovers to enhance production efficiency.Providing technical support and guidance to field operations personnel.Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred.Minimum of 6 years of experience in production and/or reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry.Proficiency in reservoir engineering software such as Eclipse, CMG, or similar.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex reservoir data.Experience with well performance analysis and production optimisation techniques.Knowledge of artificial lift systems, hydraulic fracturing, and enhanced oil recovery methods.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
